The management and utilisation of office accommodation is changing continuously as best practice anticipates and responds to workplace change and the changing expectations of accommodation users. The OAMF is designed to be a dynamic document that will maintain best practice process, advice and support for agencies over time. Accordingly, the supporting guidelines, practice notes, references and benchmarks will be revised from time to time to align with contemporary best practice and government policy.
Agencies will be consulted in the revision process, which will be undertaken within the parameters of existing Cabinet Decisions or will be the subject of new Cabinet Submissions if variations are proposed. Revisions will also be subject to endorsement by the relevant inter-departmental committee as appropriate.
The Department of Housing and Public Works encourages agencies to provide feedback and comments on the implementation of the OAMF.
