Heritage

We make a significant contribution to preserving and promoting Queensland’s rich heritage.

Visitors and locals can take advantage of our heritage walk podcast and take a stroll through Brisbane’s colonial past.

We manage the Community Memorials Restoration Program, which provides a dollar-for-dollar subsidy to assist local government authorities and other organisations responsible for monuments, memorials and cemetery administration to restore and repair, record, preserve and promote awareness of recognised valuable community social property and does other work to restore historic buildings.

We also maintain the Queensland War Memorial Register and the Queensland WWII Historic Places website.
