Provider profiles

​Homelessness providers are the backbone of homelessness support in Queensland. As part of Homelessness Prevention Week 2015, we'll be sharing a series of interviews to give you a glimpse of what it's like for those that work tirelessly to help those in need.


 Micah Projects


Micah Projects provides wrap around support to help people transition from homelessness to housing.


 Mission Australia


Roma House, operated by Mission Australia, provides 24/7 temporary accommodation for people who are experiencing homelessness. They offer beds, meals and have bathroom and laundry facilities.


 Anglicare North Qld


Anglicare North Qld run the Cairns Homelessness Service Hub and and Quigley Street Night Shelter. Anglicare North Qld provides temporary overnight accommodation, an evening meal, breakfast and hygiene facilities.


 139 Club


139 Club provides a range of support services from their centre in Spring Hill, including providing meals, showers and day beds for those most in need.


 HART 4000


Hart 4000 offers a range of invaluable support services, including outreach services for those sleeping on the streets and social housing referrals.


 Brisbane Youth Service


Brisbane Youth Service help find housing for young people, and offer support services to help young parents. They also offer a free medical clinic, counselling and drug and alcohol intervention.
