Homelessness Week

Homelessness Week is held annually in early August and is coordinated by Homelessness Australia.

The 2018 Homelessness Week is from 6 to 12 August with a theme 'Ending homelessness together'.

The Queensland Government is delivering a range of reforms to reduce homelessness by supporting specialist homelessness providers, providing the Dignity First Fund and delivering actions under the Queensland Housing Strategy 2017-2027.

We have committed to genuine partnership with the homelessness sector to strengthen the service system, expand capabilities, and deliver person centred housing responses to reduce homelessness in Queensland through Partnering for Impact (PDF, 1.1MB).

This year, Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute, in partnership with Homelessness Australia will convene the National Homelessness Conference 2018—Ending Homelessness Together, in Melbourne on Mon 6 and Tue 7 August 2018.
