“A few months ago I thought life couldn’t get much tougher. My partner and I were in debt and couldn’t afford to stay in the place we were renting.

I had a three-month-old baby, nowhere to live, and then I was rushed to hospital for emergency gall bladder surgery.

We managed to stay with a friend while I recovered, but then his lease was unexpectedly not renewed and I found myself helping to pack up his place, and once again, had nowhere to call home.

It was just so stressful, having a child and not having anywhere to live.

We went and saw RentConnect officer Sue and she just made life so much easier by giving us time and options.

She organised a bond loan for us as we wanted to stay in the private rental market.

Sue really understood our situation, and sent us properties that were exactly
what we were looking for as I also needed space for my partner’s two children.

She had all the paperwork ready to go when we found the property we wanted.

With help from RentConnect, we have now reorganised our finances to pay off our debts, and life is looking a whole lot brighter.”
