 Information for prospective tenants and tenancy managers

To become a registered prospective tenant under the NRAS in Queensland, you must meet all of the eligibility requirements.
 
To register, complete the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) tenant application form or contact 13 QGOV (13 74 68).
 
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply for a place to rent under the scheme. 

 
NRAS properties are advertised like other private rentals. Below are some websites where you can find NRAS properties currently available for rent in Queensland:
To apply to become a tenancy manager under NRAS an application must be lodged with the Department of Housing and Public Works by the approved participant.
 
Tenancy managers for National Rental Affordability Scheme dwellings may be:
  • a Registered Housing Provider under the Housing Act 2003
  • a licensed real estate agent under the Property Agents and Motor  Dealers Act 2000, or
  • local government.
