Community housing providers that want to deliver (or want to continue to deliver) a funded social housing service in Queensland need to apply for, and obtain, registration with the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH).
The NRSCH introduced a new regulatory framework which is consistent across all participating Australian states and territories. Providers that achieve registration under the new system will have the opportunity to seek funding from the department in a contestable environment which encourages flexibility and innovation.
For more information on the changes to legislation and funding requirements please see these fact sheets:
This publication was produced prior to the current government.
Further resources including the department’s policies and procedures and access to forms, templates and fact sheets are available.
