Building Industry and Policy regularly hosts or is involved in industry events throughout Queensland. Event details are updated regularly and are promoted through this website, newsletters and other sources. 

Building Industry and Policy will be taking part in free plumbing expos to help local plumbing industry practitioners learn more about important plumbing industry initiatives. 

Have your say on the cyclone shelter discussion paper—consultation sessions

The department will be holding a series of consultation sessions across the state targeted at key stakeholders.

 Who are the key stakeholders? 

  • Local councils in areas impacted by tropical cyclones
  • Organisations involved in disaster management, land use planning and development and building design, construction and maintenance.

What is being discussed?

These two hour sessions will discuss a series of options proposed by the Cyclone shelters: Standardising design, construction and maintenance discussion paper  (PDF, 341KB) and the draft Queensland Development Code 3.8 (PDF, 713KB).
