New unit complex brings sense of community

Muru-kutchi Gardens

“It felt like home as soon as I walked through the door”, said Terriann, a new resident of Muru-kutchi Gardens in Maroochydore.

Muru-kutchi Gardens was named in honour of Maroochydore’s Indigenous heritage and is a three-storey complex with 16, one-bedroom units.

Terriann moved into her one-bedroom unit after downsizing when her daughter moved out of home.

“Downsizing has not been difficult at all, it’s been really good”, said Terriann.

“I have my own space now and I love living in this complex. The people are great, and it has a real sense of community.”

Terriann says, “One of the best things about the move is that I’ve made new friends.”

“We go to the shops, go for walks and stop for chats in the complex.”

The unit complex is conveniently located near the Sunshine Homemaker Centre and Sunshine Plaza, with Parklands within walking distance.

Terriann said she would make her unit feel like home by putting up family photos and getting some plants for her balcony.
