The Office of the Queensland Government Architect helps government departments and local councils deliver an enhanced urban environment for Queensland by providing leadership and strategic advice on urban design, procurement, heritage and the built environment.


The Office of the Queensland Government Architect provides specific and general advice for Queensland Government and local councils on built environment, urban design, procurement and heritage issues across a range of projects including:


We are involved in the facilitation and promotion of a range of industry and public events, forums and exhibitions that support the architecture, landscape architecture and urban design professions across Queensland.

We’re one of the partners behind Brisbane Open House—a 2 day annual event that invites residents and visitors to explore architecturally significant buildings throughout the Brisbane central business district, Fortitude Valley, South Bank and selected suburban areas.
