Special conditions of contract
The Department of Housing and Public Works' suite of building contracts for use on government building projects includes several which use Standards Australia general conditions of contract, for which special conditions of contract have been drafted.
Where this occurs, only the special conditions of contract are available for download. The Standards Australia general conditions of contract can be obtained from the SAI Global WebShop.
Contracts available for download
Forms of contract available for download are listed to the left of this page.
The contracts available for download are generic in nature, but typically contain sections which must be completed with project specific details before tenders are called.
They must not otherwise be amended in any way without prior consultation and agreement with Contract Services.
Where circumstances require it, Contract Services will provide conditions of tender and contract specifically tailored to particular government projects or applications.
A brief description of the contracts is provided under each of the relevant headings of the forms of contract available for download.
