 Apply for PQC registration

Minimum requirements for PQC registration

Listed below are the minimum requirements for PQC registration. You must meet all of the below criteria to be able to apply for prequalification on the PQC database.
  1. The applicant must have an ABN that is registered for GST.
  2. The applicant must apply for prequalification as a sole trader or company (a contractor cannot be prequalified as a trustee or manager under trust arrangements).
  3. The applicant must have a minimum Net Tangible Asset-Govt (NTA-Govt) of $156,000 and a minimum current ratio of 1:1 as calculated in accordance with the Contractor PQC Financial Requirements Guideline.
  4. The applicant must be appropriately licensed (through the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) or equivalent) to carry out building or building related work in Queensland.
  5. If the applicant holds a QBCC licence, it must have a Maximum Revenue of at least $3,000,000.
If you do not meet all of the above criteria you will not be able to apply for prequalification on the PQC database. You can contact the PQC Team for more information on the number listed at the bottom of this page.

Apply for registration

Before you start the application process, you will need the following information to be able to complete your application for prequalification:  
  • ABN (registered for GST) and ACN (where applicable) details.
  • Net Tangible Assets for Government (NTA-Govt) and current ratio of the applicant calculated in accordance with the Contractor PQC Financial Requirements Guideline.
  • Licence details of the applicant (QBCC or equivalent).
  • Management System certificates if applicable (e.g. QMS, OHSMS, Environmental - refer to section 3.4 of the Contractor PQC Application Guide for certification requirements).
  • Workcover and Portable Long Service Leave certificates (if required).
  • Details of previously completed projects (within the last 3 year​s) with referee details.
To apply for prequalification, you are required to carefully read, complete and submit the application forms to the Prequalification (PQC) Registrar.
