On 11 November 2011, the Queensland Government was announced as the successful bidder by the Commonwealth Games Federation to host the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
The Department of Housing and Public Works is now responsible for the delivery of all sports venues required for the Games.
A total of 20 new, existing and temporary sports venues for the Games will be procured or upgraded.
Opportunities to tender on these projects will be advertised on the building and construction eTender site.
