The Ipswich Government Office Building will provide approximately 15,500 square metres of leased office accommodation within the new ‘Ipswich Icon’ building in the Ipswich central business district in late 2013.
The property solution, which includes a 15 year lease and fit out, will provide office accommodation for approximately 1200 employees within the new building, with availability for occupancy from October 2013.
The new A-Grade office and retail building will be constructed on the corner of Brisbane and Bell streets.
When completed, the building will comprise of 9 floors of fitted out office space with retail outlets located on ground and upper ground floor areas.
The developer is targeting a 5 Star Green Star Certified Rating for the building from the Green Building Council of Australia.
This building will be the first stage of the master-plan for the Ipswich City Heart redevelopment scheme being undertaken by Ipswich City Properties and its joint development partner Leighton Properties (Brisbane) Pty Ltd.
The site is located within walking distance to the Ipswich Railway Station and Bus Interchange in Bell Street, and existing retail outlets, banking and medical facilities.
