Buildings have a significant impact on the natural and built environments throughout their life cycle, from construction to demolition.

Design, construction, materials used, maintenance, how a building is used and its eventual fate all affect how it affects its surroundings.

Reduce impact

We have been actively working with other government agencies to reduce the environmental impacts of new building projects, refurbishments and the everyday operation of our buildings.

Our goal is to optimise the economic viability of the project, maximise the social amenity of the building for its users and the community, and minimise environmental impacts.
