View guidelines developed to help government promote safe and healthy buildings.

Work health and safety standards

The QBuild Work Health and Safety Standards (PDF, 2.82MB) are provided to assist contractors and subcontractors to comply with current state and national legislation.

Subby Pack

The Occupational Health Safety and Environment (OHSE) Subby Pack helps small business in the Australian construction industry systematically manage occupational health, safety and environment.

It’s used by self-employed operators, suppliers, service providers, contractors and sub-contractors. Instructions for completion are within the pack itself.

QBuild’s asbestos information for contractors

On 1 January 2012, new legislation based upon the national model Work Health and Safety Act came into effect. The Qld Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Qld Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 provide strict guidelines around working with asbestos and asbestos containing material.

For additional information please see QBuild's B Class Asbestos Removal Licence Requirements (PDF, 139KB).

QBuild contractors asbestos pack

The QBuild contractors asbestos pack has been developed to assist QBuild contractors who are working with Asbestos Containing Material (ACM).
