Managing supply arrangements

Effective management of supply arrangements ensures suppliers meet agreed commitments and creates a mechanism to demonstrate successful procurement.

Guidance in the 'Managing supply arrangements' stage comprises:

Contract implementation and administration

Contract implementation and administration is about defining the relationship between the agency and supplier. Clear administrative procedures ensure that all parties understand their roles and responsibilities.

Performance monitoring

Agencies need to ensure that effective processes which have been agreed with suppliers are in place to regularly monitor contract performance.

Review and closure

In addition to periodic monitoring, the outcomes of the contract need to be assessed as it approaches expiry. Disposal of assets obtained under the contract need to be considered.
