Procurement planning

Procurement planning identifies how the organisation’s or customer’s demand may be best met by the supply market.

Demand analysis

Analysis of internal demand for goods or services is essential and is used to develop procurement objectives and potential procurement strategies.

Supply market analysis

Supply market analysis is used to identify market characteristics for specific goods or services and it is critical to developing effective procurement strategies.

Options analysis

Options analysis is a structured and rigorous approach to evaluating strategic options for procurement, and relies on an assessment of potential approaches, requirements and nature of the procurement.

Planning for significant procurement

Significant procurement planning leads to better value for money, higher quality project and service delivery, improved opportunities for sustainable procurement, and reduced risks to the agency.

This is the final step in the 'Procurement planning' stage.
