With the support of the Australasian Procurement and Construction Council, we have developed 6 sustainable procurement product guides.

The product guides should be read in conjunction with the Integrating sustainability into the procurement process (PDF, 849kb). This procurement guidance material provides a process guide for procurement professionals with step-by-step guidance on incorporating sustainability concepts into each stage of procurement.

Australian and New Zealand Government Framework
We are a signatory to the Australian and New Zealand Government Framework for Sustainable Procurement.
We have used the framework to guide the establishment of policies and practices that help government agencies integrate the principles of sustainability into the procurement of goods, services and construction.
British principles and framework
The British Standard BS8903:2010 may help you implement sustainable practices within your procurement processes.
A copy is available for loan for internal clients from the Department of Housing and Public Works Library and Information Centre (details available on the intranet).
