The Procurement Training and Certification Program is open to staff in Queensland Government budget sector agencies, government-owned corporations and statutory bodies. To check if you are able to participate in the training program, please confirm your organisation is on the Eligible organisations page.
To register for a course, complete the course registration form (PDF, 361KB) and email to courserego@qgcpo.qld.gov.au.
You should receive acknowledgement of your registration within two working days. Further course confirmation, providing details of venue and administration arrangements, will follow within two weeks of the course date.
If you do not receive these messages, email courserego@qgcpo.qld.gov.au and let us know.
You can not register for more than one course in advance. For example, if you are completing Advanced Procurement A then you may enrol in Advanced Procurement B but not Advanced Procurement C.
Which course is right for me?
Students need to complete the required training and assessment for each level of certification before enrolling in the next level.
As such, multiple enrolments are only possible for levels 1 and 2, but this is not encouraged to prevent students from over committing.
Multiple enrolments are not possible for higher courses. Students also need to enrol in Advanced Procurement and Strategic Procurement in sequence (A, B then C).
Acceptance into a course will depend on eligibility, course availability and class size. Places are limited, so you should register well in advance to secure your place.
Policies and procedures
Before registering for a course, you should find out about our student policies and procedures, including:
In-house training
For groups of officers requiring the same or similar procurement training, either from your own agency, or from a number of agencies in a region, QGCPO can develop and deliver services under an 'in-house' arrangement.
This can minimise travelling time and accommodation costs for staff, particularly for organisations in remote or regional Queensland. Prices are negotiable depending on the amount of development work required, the location, duration of training, number of participants and amount of coordination or administration work required. Generally, we require between 15 and 20 students.
We can arrange to use agency-specific forms, procedures, templates and documents in an in-house course, to provide an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge to a familiar way of conducting their business.
