Assessment processes

You will be emailed a copy of your assessment projects at the completion of a course. If you have not received this, contact us on assessments@qgcpo.qld.gov.au.

Assessment submission

All completed assessments are considered as ‘Commercial in Confidence’.

You should submit your assessments electronically with a completed project marking sheet. Our assessment process is as follows:

  • email your assessment with a project marking sheet to assessments@qgcpo.qld.gov.au
  • an appointed officer will register, receipt and forward assessments to an assessor for marking
  • the assessor will notify us of the result and return the marked assessment back to us for recording
  • we return assessment projects to you within 2-3 weeks of submission.

We keep all completed assessment workbooks.

Deadlines and extensions

We expect you to complete your assignments on time. You will be advised of the due date for assessment projects, but it is generally 8 weeks from the completion of the course.

If you submit your assessment project after the due date, you may have to reapply for assessment and incur additional fees.

Applying for an extension

Extensions may be agreed to in exceptional circumstances.

To request an extension, email assessments@qgcpo.qld.gov.au with your explanation. You may need to provide supporting documentation with your request. A decision will be emailed to you within 48 hours and if applicable a new submission date assigned.

Unless a request for an extension has been approved by the Manager Procurement Certification Program before the due date, an assignment will be deemed overdue and no further extensions granted.

Extension limits

Students will not be given more than three extensions for any one assessment. If you do not submit your assessment by the third extension date you will need to submit an Assignment Reapplication Form, which as at 12 December 2012 costs $144 (including GST).

Extension dates must be within six months of the last day of the course. Assessment submitted beyond this date will not be eligible for marking and the student will need to re-enrol in the course.
