4.0 Consultant selection and commissioning

Office fitout projects are complex, involve inherent risks and require expert knowledge and skills for successful implementation. The Department of Housing and Public Works (HPW) requires that appropriate, competent and qualified consultants be engaged for the design and documentation of office fitout projects in owned and leased buildings, which are controlled by that department.

Consultant selection must be consistent with the objectives of the State Purchasing Policy and consultants must be acceptable under the Prequalification (PQC) system administered by HPW.

It is preferred that HPW is engaged to manage the procurement, design, documentation and project management for office fitout projects funded wholly or partly through the Office Accommodation Program.
