Returning your vehicle
At the end of each vehicle's lease, it is the responsibility of your agency to return the vehicle to an authorised vehicle return agent.
How to return a leased vehicle
Vehicles can be returned to either a Manheim Auction centre in Brisbane or Townsville, or to the closest authorised regional vehicle return agent. It is essential to make a booking with a vehicle return agent prior to returning the vehicle.
Ensure you receive a receipt from the vehicle return agent as this is required to finalise your vehicle's end-of-lease.
Transporting vehicles
The costs to transport vehicles to Manheim or a vehicle return agent is the responsibility of your agency. QFleet will cover the costs of transporting a vehicle from a return agent to Manheim.
Returning vehicle inspection
Returned vehicles will undergo a comprehensive vehicle condition inspection upon delivery to a Manheim Auction centre.
You must return vehicles with:
- Two sets of keys, keypads and remote access devices
- The spare wheel and tools
- The manufacturer handbook and servicing logbook
- At least one-quarter of a tank of fuel
- All fitted accessories that were included in the lease.
Agency-owned items—such as mobile phone kits, Etoll tags, UHF radios and GPS units—must be removed from the vehicle prior to return.
Your agency is responsible for any damage resulting from unfair wear and tear, including modifications, damage or misuse. QFleet will contact your organisation if there are any charges for damage.
Lease termination
The vehicle lease will be terminated on the day you return the vehicle to a regional vehicle return agent or Manheim Auction centre.
