Building legislation and policy
We develop and advise on building, plumbing and security of payment legislation, codes and standards and other building-related legislation and policy. This includes supporting the government’s non-court-based appeals resolution services and infrastructure charges notices. We develop policy in partnership with relevant industries to deliver a safer, fairer and more sustainable building and construction industry in Queensland.

Our department owns the current Queensland Government Procurement Policy, so we are best placed to manage fair and transparent procurement processes. Contract management
We develop and apply Queensland Government capital works procurement policies to protect your business interests and provide peace of mind. Asset disposal is required when government assets become surplus to demand.
Effective asset disposal planning is critical in the management and performance of built infrastructure and vehicle assets. Proper planning ensures the assets don’t become a financial burden and supports forward estimates and budget processes by enabling reinvestment of disposal revenue.
Our expertise in property disposal includes the assessment and management of native title searches and compliance, surveying and legal services to support the subdivision and disposal of land and property. Using our property expertise, we engage and manage the right agents to sell your property, helping you to manage the risk, constraints and complexities of time, cost and quality relating to disposal.
