- 5 May 2020 4:34PM
The Sport Minister’s Advisory Council meetings provide a platform for key stakeholders and statutory bodies to discuss matters relating to the implementation of Activate! Queensland 2019-2029, Queensland’s 10-year strategy for sport, active recreation and physical activity.
In response to COVID-19, the Honourable Mick de Brenni MP, Minister for Housing and Public Works, Minister for Digital Technology and Minister for Sport, has convened two special meetings of the Sport Minister’s Advisory Council. The Council represents a broad range of sectors and include experts from education, health promotion, high performance sport, sports law, local governments, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and seniors.
These teleconferences share information with, and seek advice from, members regarding the Queensland Government’s response to COVID-19 and its impacts on physical activity, sport and active recreation across Queensland.
Teleconference meeting summaries and other materials provided to members will be available on the Ministerial Council Communique page.
