Microsoft Office 365

Outlook mail

Office 365 enables you to access your Outlook email account to view, edit and create new email and calendar activities, as well as contacts and tasks, from any device with an internet connection.

You will also have access to Office 2016 products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint and OneDrive. If you use Microsoft Visio or Microsoft Project you will also have access to these applications via Office 365.

Access

Click on the Office65 portal link and enter your HPW credentials https://portal.office.com.

If you are using a non-HPW device, each time you log in to the portal, two-factor authentication is required. Two-factor authentication is an additional security feature enabled to ensure that it is you accessing the portal. An access code will be sent via SMS to the mobile phone number registered against your name in the Global Address List (GAL).

Further information

If you have not updated the GAL Update Tool with your mobile phone number – you will not be authorised to receive the SMS passcode. For instructions on how to register your mobile phone number in GAL read our fact sheet on setting up an SMS passcode (PDF, 216KB).

HPW Citrix portal with applications

The HPW Citrix portal allows you to access your work PC and other software and applications as you would use at work.

Pre-requisites

You will need to request access to the HPW Citrix Portal by completing a System Access Request Form (SARF) available on The Hub and submitting your form to the HPW Service Desk. You also need to update your mobile phone number via the GAL Update Tool so that you can receive SMS passcodes on your mobile phone.

To update the GAL update tool, on your work computer visit http://mydpw/directoryupdate/. You will need to enter your HPW credentials to access internal sites.

Access

Type https://portal.hpw.qld.gov.au into your web browser. Please note that this link will not be accessible on your HPW PC as it is configured to be accessed externally.

Login by entering your HPW username and password. You will then be sent an SMS passcode to the mobile phone number you registered in the GAL Update Tool.

Further information

If you have not updated the GAL Update Tool with your mobile phone number – you will not be authorised to access the HPW Citrix Portal until you do so.

View our Citrix support guide (PDF, 206KB) for more information about using the HPW Citrix Portal and which applications are available to access.
