New theatre at Queensland Performing Arts Centre

The Queensland Government is investing in the delivery of a new theatre co-located with and operated by the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC).

The New Performing Arts Venue will deliver a new 1,500-capacity, state-of-the-art theatre, creating a fifth theatre for QPAC with the potential to welcome an additional 300,000 visitors a year.

The design features an iconic rippled glass façade that creates a transparent foyer space. The external entry forecourt will feature significant First Nations artwork and the single balcony auditorium delivers enhanced audience sight lines.
