The map outlines the total number of social and community homes as at 30 June 2026. The total includes homes owned and/or managed by the department or a community housing provider.
Social and community homes delivered since 1 July 2023 contribute towards the Queensland Government’s commitment to deliver 53,500 social and community homes by 2044.

Gold Coast
GC Youth Foyer
The Gold Coast Youth Foyer offers 40 young people, aged 16 to 25 years, self-contained single occupancy units where they can rent a home in a safe and stable environment, while being supported to achieve their education and employment goals.
Southport supportive housing project
The Southport Supportive Housing Project will be located at 5–9 Scarborough Street, Southport. This project will deliver around 200 social and affordable homes for a range of people, including people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness on the Gold Coast. Residents may include people sleeping rough, women escaping domestic violence and older women.
