Queensland Business Energy Saving and Transformation (QBEST) Program
The $35 million Queensland Business Energy Saving and Transformation (QBEST) program, part of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan, will support businesses to purchase energy-efficient appliances and equipment, smart technology and energy management systems to reduce their energy costs.
The program is being delivered in stages over the next 3 years.
QBEST Rebates
First-round applications are now open for QBEST Rebates.
As part of the QBEST program, the QBEST Rebates initiative provides rebates of up to $12,500 to eligible small and medium-sized Queensland businesses to install energy-efficient equipment.
For information about eligibility and how to apply, visit the Business Queensland website.
Queensland Business Energy Saving and Transformation—Agriculture (QBEST Ag)
QBEST Ag is an initiative under the QBEST program that will assist small-to-medium-sized agricultural businesses to reduce electricity costs through sharing information and practical advice on efficient energy use.
Queensland Farmers Federation will deliver a number of onsite farm energy audits across key agricultural sectors, to identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency within the Queensland agricultural industry.
The program will build on previous energy audits supported by the Queensland Government, with results to be published on a new Ag Energy Information Hub with case studies. This will demonstrate how agricultural businesses can boost their productivity and returns.
More information about QBEST Ag will be available soon.
