I'm David Blamire. I'm the CEO of XO2. The COVID-19 experience really did strengthen our relationships with other local suppliers.
We had existing relationships that we strengthened and we also were able to be introduced to new ones that we just had no idea - and quite often they were literally in the next street and we were able to go and visit and connect with them and work together on projects, help each other out.
Sometimes it was just, hey, you know, we're here for you.
Buy Queensland is a program that really helps at that local level. That sort of a program is really helpful to us.
We believe in local manufacture. We believe in Australian made. We believe in jobs and we believe in profits here in our region.
The more assistance we get, getting that word out, I mean, the better it is for us.
The SME commitment to businesses like ours is huge for us. We exist because of our customers.
There's been so many people that have helped us. And from our perspective that's amazing.
So I really believe from our experience with them, they're doing it because they really want to see this state and this country be successful.
They want to make it great and so, it's just a pleasure. It's a privilege to be a part of it all.
Gold Coast family-owned small business, XO2 have been busy during the COVID-19 pandemic producing hand sanitiser, wipes and cleaning supplies.
Their Disso® - Disinfectant & Cleaner product was the 600th product or service to be listed on the Queensland Government’s COVID-19 Supplier Portal, which is supporting Queensland businesses during the COVID-19 recovery period by connecting buyers with suppliers.
Congratulations to everyone at XO2.
